Brewery and Bottleshop Events in Wilmington NC

Hey!Beer just got a crowler machine, so your options for beer-to-go in Midtown Wilmington just got even better. Expect it to be up and running soon!

Some of the Hype Whale (10.0% American Imperial Stout, Red Brick Brewing) that hit town last week is still around; so are some of the Wooden Robot kegs that Hey!Beer tapped on Saturday. Casita Cerveceria‘s most recent releases, the twin Cosmic Opposites (10.0% Imperial White Stout and 7.0% Black IPA), are readily available in town as well.

New Anthem Beer Project is releasing pint cans of Neon God (6.3% IPA) and New Jack (7.1% IPA) on Wednesday the 31st. These are both amazing IPAs, so don’t snooze on this release. Hey!Beer should have Barrel Aged French Toast (9.5% American Imperial Stout) from Wicked Weed by Tuesday the 30th.

Live music this week: Palate Bottle Shop & Reserve (DJ Professor Dub at 6 PM on Friday the 2nd and Jesse Stockton at 8 PM on Saturday the 3rd), Wrightsville Beach Brewery (Sai Collins, 6 PM, Thursday the 1st and Mike Blair, 3 PM, Saturday the 3rd), New Anthem (Tuesday Night Jazz and Poetry at 7 PM on the 30th), Fermental (Will Daube, 7 PM, Thursday the 1st), Flytrap Brewing (Justin Fox Duo, 8 PM on Friday the 2nd; Travis Shallow, 8 PM on Saturday the 3rd), Waterline Brewing Company (Travis Shallow and the Deep End, 8 PM, Friday the 2nd; Massive Grass, 8 PM, Saturday the 3rd).

Watch the Superbowl with Kristi and Mike! Hey!Beer is hosting Eagles & Patriots & Pisgah & Food & Football from 10 AM until 10 PM on the 4th, featuring a tap takeover by Pisgah Brewing, free pizza and, of course, pre-game coverage then the Big Game itself. Featured beers from Pisgah are: Spadefoot (5.2% Pale Ale), Mole Stout (8.3% American Stout), Red Devil (8.5% Belgian Golden Ale), Walker’s Knob (6.9% IPA), Vanilla Porter (5% American Porter) and Valdez (6.5% American Stout). Bring food to share if you want!

Fire & Spice Gourmet celebrates Throw-Down Thursday starting at 5 PM on the 1st. Featured kegs: 3rd Rock Brewing’s Light Year (9% IPA), Foothills Brewing’s Hoppyum (6.3% IPA), Kentucky Vanilla Barrel Cream Ale (5.5% Cream Ale, Alltech’s Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co.) and Hype Whale. Food truck provided by 2 Bros Coastal Cuisine.

This week, Fermental will play host to food trucks from Beach House Dawgs (Monday the 29th at 5 PM) and La Bella Airosa (Thursday the 1st at 6 PM).

Cape Fear Wine & Beer’s specials this week include $1 off nitro pours and a 9-sample flight of 5 ounce pours for $18 (Monday the 29th), $1 off everything that’s not beer (Tuesday the 30th), $1 off select sour ales (Wednesday the 31st), and $1 off select beers (Thursday the 1st).

Palate has a free wine tasting from 6 to 8 PM on Winedown Wednesday (the 31st) and a beer tasting from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday the 1st.

The 30th is Tuesday Night Jazz and Poetry at New Anthem from 7 to 10 PM. Hosted by Jared Sales, this event will feature Jazz by Mike D’angelo, David Canning and Jon Hill and poetry by Tim Joyner, Munazza Abraham, Coya Mears and Israel Sorensen.

Join Wilmington Brewing Company on the 2nd at 5 PM for Firkin Friday, when they tap a cask of something special that will only be available that night. There will be a food truck on site as well.

Weekly specials at Bill’s Front Porch include “$5 Patties and Pints” on Wednesday the 31st and $5 flights on Thursday the 1st.

On Saturday the 3rd, Waterman’s Brewing Company hosts the 1st Annual Surf & Ale Bash, including the Carolina Surf Film Festival’s first event of 2018 (4 films, starting at 6 PM). Their weekly Humpday Pub Run is on Wednesday the 31st at 6 PM, and ends with specials on appetizers, sandwiches, and select pints. Pre-registration is required, and participants should sign in upon arrival.

Wear Wrightsville Beach Brewery gear on Wednesday the 31st and get 10% off your meal. A brewery tour/tasting starts at 6 PM sharp on Tuesday the 30th. It is limited to 25 people and is offered on a first-come basis. And don’t forget their weekly Farmer’s Market on Thursday the 1st from 2 to 6 PM.

This week Flytrap will host food trucks from Pepe’s Tacos (7 PM on Friday the 2nd) and 2 Bros Coastal Cuisine (5:30 PM on Saturday the 3rd). On Tuesday the 30th, they have $5 flights (four 4 oz pours).

Waterline will have food trucks from Soulful Twist (6 PM on Tuesday the 30th), Vittles (6 PM Friday the 2nd) and A&M Red Food Truck (6 PM on Saturday the 3rd). Thursday the 1st brings $3 select pints all day, and the iLm Local Makers and Growers pop-up market from 4 to 8 PM.
